Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This policy explains what information countycarb.com ("County Carb", "we") collects when you use the site and what we do with it.
Information we collect
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical data for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working. They are kept for a limited time.
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and do not add you to any mailing list.
- Search and filters. When you use the Recipe Finder or What can I make?, your choices are sent in the page address so the server can show results. We do not link them to your identity.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal information.
Cookies and local storage
Right now County Carb does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Cook mode uses a browser feature to keep your screen awake while it is switched on. It does not store personal data.
Advertising in the future
We may show ads through Google AdSense in the future. If we do, we will update this policy before ads go live. In that case:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising through the aboutads.info consumer choice page.
- Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
Children
County Carb is a general-audience cooking site. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law requires.
Links to other sites
If a page links to another website, that site has its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
